KAL Working Conditions




  • Any license from any country is acceptable
  • Per Diem and hotel paid during training directly to pilot by KAL
  • Can be based anywhere Korean Air flies to 2 or more times per week for purposes of commuting
  • Operational base is considered Seoul Korea
  • Days Off: 9 + 3 days travel
  • Vacation Days: 2 per month.  Can be used with 9 days off or taken one week at a time
  • Sick Days: 14 per year
  • Work both passenger and cargo flights
  • Yearly cost of living increases based on U.S scale every year that Korean Airlines is profitable.  ex: 1.9% in 2004, 2.7% in 2005, 3.4% in 2006
  • Guarantee 75 hours per month
  • Uniforms and manuals supplied by Korean Airlines
  • 4 tickets for immediate family members per year + Six ID90 supplied by Korean Airlines
  • Unlimited ID90 or ZED fares on other airlines as supplied by Korean Airlines
